Les Olives tapas restaurant in Northampton Town Centre
Tucked away in the centre of Northampton Town Centre is Les Olives, a restaurant which has a growing reputation for serving the best authentic tapas in Northampton. Just off the main market square in Northampton and up a small flight of stairs to the 1st floor you leave the city behind and emerge into rural Spain as warm Spanish music welcomes you. The beautiful decor, with open high timbered ceilings and exposed brick work of this old and historic building gives an airy and relaxed atmosphere.
Alex, the restaurant owner, has worked in many a fine restaurant in London and has served his dishes to celebrities including Girls Aloud and Atomic Kitten. When he took charge of the restaurant in 2008 he concentrated on creating a charming restaurant area with a friendly and welcoming environment to serve fresh and flavoursome Spanish cuisine that encapsulates the true flavours of Spain.
Look out for the specials board highlighting some of the fantastic cuisine on offer each day with such dishes as Pan-fried langoustine with garlic and basil. The menu features a great selection of over 40 tapas dishes to choose from, including 11 vegetarian options. Popular dishes such as Cordero a la Plancha, Grilled lamb marinated with rosemary, cumin, virgin oil and served with chillies, cardamom seeds and garlic and Morcilla Les Olives, savoury Spanish sausage with chargrilled red peppers, broads beans and red onions are just a few of the delicious dishes on offer. With a fantastic wine list including beautiful Riojas and of course sangria, diners are truly spoilt for choice.
Les Olives is a fantastic restaurant that once found you will return to time and time again.

The atmosphere was superb and the food was excellent. You could not believe that you were in Northampton. For all intents and purposes you were somewhere in Spain. The Sangria was particularly good. The only issue we had was in getting the bill... that did seem to take forever. However it was a storming night out

I've read a couple of reviews before deciding to go along to Les Olives, a few people had quoted how it was "a hidden jem in Northampton." Well its safe to say that it truly is.
The choice on the menu was fantastic, especially with the vegetarian options being plentiful. The atomsphere was lovely as Spanish music is played softly in the background and the service was very efficient also.
The food, o the food. Simply stunning, there was a great mixture and I highly recommend the roasted courgettes and butternut squash with feta cheese!
I only wish to have seen Sangria on the drinks list as that would have been a perfect rating.
I will definintely be coming along again and I've already suggested to a number of people to go along aswell.

Our third trip to Les Olives, definitely my favourite restaurant in Northampton. The decor and music really set the scene for a fabulous evening away from home. The service is always great, the food fabulous, and the bill is always a pleasant surprise.

Good restaurant, not quite authentic enough as does not give off a Spanish vibe, the food was good but the portions lacked a little and a little expensive. But otherwise great!
