Tollemache Arms Harrington, Northamptonshire
The Tollemache Arms is housed within a beautiful 16th century inn in the village of Harrington, nestled in the idyllic Northamptonshire countryside. Easily accessible from junction two or three off the A14, The Tollemache is easily found and always enjoyed.
Complete with thatched roof and exposed brick work, The Tollemache Arms is an amazing traditional venue that really makes the most of the original features. The restaurant is a unique dining space located at the back of the venue that effortlessly blends traditional with contemporary to create a cosy, homely, atmosphere.
The restaurant prides itself on using fresh local produce from the surrounding areas, with all meat being sourced from Waterloo Cottage Farm which is just four miles from the pub. Head Chef Mark Law has created a wonderful, classically British menu with a modern twist. You can expect to find dishes such as Duck Terrine and Brixworth Pate served with wholemeal toast and onion marmalade, and Autumn Lamb cut of the day with gratinated mustard mash, roast carrot and swede and a balsamic raspberry dressing, on the menu. The venue is also child-friendly and offers a menu designed especially for the little ones that is packed full of their favourite meals.
As much as The Tollemache Arms is about dining, it is also about the drinking and serves real ales and features weekly guest ales, one of which is often from a local micro-brewery, as well as a good selection of soft drinks, spirits, wines and champagnes.
The Tollemache Arms in Northamptonshire is fast becoming a real haven for relaxed dining, and with stunning views to the rear of the establishment, a visit to this pub restaurant offers a true taste of Northamptondhire.

Booked to go into the tollemache for a Sunday lunch, was amazed at how busy it was. My partner and I never realised how popular it must be. Despite their being so many people, service wasn't compromised and the waitress still came over to ask if everything was going ok and if we needed drinks etc. the beef was done superbly and all the trimmings were cooked very well (not always the case at most places for sunday lunch).
